Episode 79 :: Candace Vanderhoff, Water Conservation/Reclamation


In regions of low rainfall and drought, how to use every drop that falls is critical. But whether you get too much or too little, our relationship with water reveals our abilities to be in relationship with the powers of the natural world.

Candace Vanderhoff continues to help many use the gift of water more wisely. She is a licensed architect in California and a a LEED Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council, and is a certified Permaculture designer. Candace has worked in construction and environmental design for 20 years. After living in Micronesia where she taught architecture at a Jesuit boy's trade school and lived on several small, fragile islands she decided to apply her knowledge and skill to creating a more beautiful and secure community in San Diego. In 2009, Candace trained with Greywater Action and completed the Green Plumber Training for water professionals. Shortly after that she founded RainThanks & Greywater and continues to work full time consulting and designing water harvesting systems, sustainable landscapes and water conservation products.

She is an entrepreneur creating businesses to do what her heart and ideals tell her to act on. She works with a deep sense of Spirit and love. The Common Good Podcast is delighted she could talk with us.
